The construction of the centre has been designed to meet appropriate Ministry of Education requirements as well as World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines for noise levels. It also complies with NZ fire and building standards.
The centre features a ducted air conditioning system allowing for accurate temperature control, as well as a DVS ventilation system and underfloor heating in the under 2’s play area. Controlled entry into the play areas is achieved via a swipe card system. The building is doubled glazed and insulated to meet WHO guidelines for noise levels in a childcare facility which are: 35 decibels for the indoor play areas and 30 decibels for the sleeping areas. This has been certified by an acoustic engineer.
